The partners TU-Wien, KfV, Swarco, Komobile and ANDATA are starting the project "IntIntSec - The Intelligent Intersection" in cooperation with the MA33 from the City of Vienna.

The project investigates the best possible, intelligent control of an intersection, utilizing all possibilites of the new connectivity features between all traffic participants with each other and the connectivity with the infrastructure. That way it is aimed to improve safety, traffic flow efficiency as well as efficiency improvements of the traffic participants with respect to energy consumption and reduction of emmisions. The project IntIntSec amonst others takes over the findings of the intersection use case from the project Connecting Austria, consequently continuing the research and development activities by extension of the functions and generalization for all traffic participants.
